Kick Members KickMembers
Remove a member — by hand, or automatically when a server has switched enforcement on.
/kickThe invite requests 29 permissions. This list is built from what the commands and modules actually declare, so the bot cannot ask for one that is not below and cannot use one that is not requested. Deny any of them and the features that need it stop working; nothing else does.
Every action is checked again at the moment it happens, against your permissions as well as the bot’s, in the specific channel. A permission granted here is what the bot can do, never what it will do unasked.
Remove a member — by hand, or automatically when a server has switched enforcement on.
/kickBan and unban, including a temporary ban the bot lifts itself when it expires.
Hierarchy is checked first every time, so it can never act on somebody above it or above you.
/ban /banlist /softban /unbanCreate ticket and join-to-create channels, set slowmode, lock a channel down, and replace one with /nuke.
/nuke /slowmodeRead the server’s own invite codes, so the link filter can tell your invites from somebody else’s; make the word blacklist’s AutoMod rules; and read the AutoMod rules, so the webhook relay knows which kind of rule stopped a message and, when a server hides words, every word to hide.
The only server settings it changes are the AutoMod rules it made itself, each named “sick —”. Rules you wrote are read, never edited.
Optional, and off unless a server sets one: react to a correct count in a counting channel with the emoji the server chose. Counting works without it.
Attribute an action to a person. Anti-nuke and the server logs are guesswork without it — this is what lets a log say who, rather than what.
Read the channel list so it can post where you tell it to, and see the messages the filters inspect.
It reads messages as they arrive and stores none of them. Deny it on a channel and the bot is blind there, deliberately.
Post receipts, mod-log entries, welcome messages, ticket panels and every reply.
/activity-ping /alerts /analytics /event /giveaway /poll /review /say /starboard /stats /sticky /store /suggest /topDelete a filtered link or a spam burst, run /purge, and pin.
It never edits anybody’s message — Discord does not allow that, and nothing here tries.
/autodelete /purgeEverything the bot posts is an embed. Without this its replies arrive blank.
/analytics /event /giveaway /stats /top /transcribeSend the verification CAPTCHA, which is drawn in process, welcome and goodbye cards, and ticket transcripts when a server turns them on.
/analytics /quote /stats /topLook back far enough to purge, to find a message somebody linked, and to answer “what was here before”.
/autodelete /purgeMoving a member into a voice channel needs Connect there, for the bot as much as for a person: join-to-create moves each member into the channel it made for them, and /voice move and /voice moveall move them where a moderator says.
Play music: the bot has to be allowed to speak in a voice channel to be heard in it. /music play checks it in the channel the member is in, and says so if it is missing.
/voice mute and /voice unmute: a server mute placed or lifted by a moderator, recorded as a case like any other action.
/voice deafen and /voice undeafen: a server deafen placed or lifted by a moderator, recorded as a case.
Move somebody into the voice channel join-to-create made for them, disconnect a member its owner rejects or a moderator jails, and move or disconnect members wherever /voice move, /voice moveall and /voice disconnect say.
Change or clear a member’s nickname with /nick — usually to undo an impersonation or a name nobody can read.
Discord does not let any bot rename the server owner, whatever permissions it has, and hierarchy is checked before everyone else.
/nickAutorole, self-assign, the jail role, the verified role, and stripping moderation roles from a compromised account.
It refuses to hand out any role carrying Administrator, Manage Server, Manage Roles, ban, kick or timeout — checked when configured and again at the moment of granting.
/lock /lockserver /massrole /picperms /reactionrole /role /unlock /unlockserverWebhook relay: one webhook per channel, through which a blocked message comes back under its author’s name. And counting a server’s webhooks for /audit.
It posts through and edits only webhooks it made itself, and never changes or deletes anyone else’s — it lists a channel’s webhooks only to find its own. Nothing it posts through one can ping.
Add an emoji or sticker with /emoji steal and /emoji create, and rename or remove one.
/emoji — optionalThe newer name for the same thing — Discord split emoji, stickers and soundboard, and both bits are requested so the commands work on old and new servers alike.
/emoji — optionalOptional, and off unless a server asks for it: list a scheduled event in the server’s own Events tab alongside the sign-up card, and keep its time and cancellation in step. Nothing else uses it, and events work without it.
Open a discussion thread under a suggestion card, when a server turns that on.
Open a ticket as a private thread, for servers that prefer threads to channels.
Reply inside a ticket thread once it is open.
Apply and lift timeouts, including the automatic ones anti-spam and anti-raid issue.
/timeout /untimeoutWrite the playing track into the voice channel’s status line, which the music module’s Show the track in the voice channel setting turns on or off. Without it the player works the same and the status line stays empty.
Start a poll with /poll create. Discord keeps this separate from sending messages.
