FAQ

Questions people actually ask

If the answer is not here, the support server is the fastest way to reach somebody.

I added the bot and nothing happens.
Every module is off until you switch it on — the bot does nothing to a server nobody has configured, on purpose. Run /setup, pick a feature, and the panel shows what is on, what is missing, and what it still needs before it can run.
It says it cannot ban or timeout someone.
Discord will not let any bot act on a member whose highest role sits above the bot's own, and no permission overrides that. Open Server Settings, then Roles, and drag sick above the roles you want it to manage. This is the step almost everybody skips.
Do you read our messages?
No. Nothing stores message content. Ticket transcripts are the single exception, they are off by default, and turning them on carries its own warning. There is no interface anywhere that would let the people running the bot browse your server.
Does the CAPTCHA send my members to a third party?
No, and this is the reason it was built rather than bought. The image is drawn inside the bot process. There is no captcha provider, so nobody is handed your members' addresses in exchange for a score.
Why does the invite ask for so many permissions?
The invite asks for exactly 19 permissions, and that list is generated from what the code declares rather than typed out. Administrator is not among them. You can untick any of them, and the setup panel warns you later if a feature you turned on needs one you removed.
Can I use text commands instead of slash commands?
Yes. Every command works both ways from one definition, so they cannot drift apart. The prefix is yours to choose in /setup. The only exceptions are the few commands that open a form, which Discord only allows from a slash command.
Is it free?
Yes, all of it. Nothing is held back for a paid tier, there is no vote-locking, and no feature is disabled until you upgrade.
How do I get my data deleted?
Remove the bot and its configuration and records for that server go with it. A server owner or administrator can also ask at any time in the support server, and it happens on request rather than on a schedule.
Something is broken, or I want a feature.
Ask in the support server. If the bot has thrown an error at you it will have given you a reference — quote it, and it can be found in the logs exactly.
