What it asks for, and why

Kick Members KickMembers

Remove a member — by hand, or automatically when a server has switched enforcement on.

Ban Members BanMembers

Ban and unban, including a temporary ban the bot lifts itself when it expires.

Hierarchy is checked first every time, so it can never act on somebody above it or above you.

Manage Channels ManageChannels

Create ticket and join-to-create channels, set slowmode, lock a channel down, and replace one with `/nuke`.

Manage Server ManageGuild

Read the server’s own invite codes, so the link filter can tell your invites from somebody else’s.

It is used to read that list. Nothing here changes a server setting through it.

View Audit Log ViewAuditLog

Attribute an action to a person. Anti-nuke and the server logs are guesswork without it — this is what lets a log say who, rather than what.

View Channels ViewChannel

Read the channel list so it can post where you tell it to, and see the messages the filters inspect.

It reads messages as they arrive and stores none of them. Deny it on a channel and the bot is blind there, deliberately.

Post receipts, mod-log entries, welcome messages, ticket panels and every reply.

Delete a filtered link or a spam burst, run `/purge`, and pin.

It never edits anybody’s message — Discord does not allow that, and nothing here tries.

Discord does not let any bot rename the server owner, whatever permissions it has, and hierarchy is checked before everyone else.
